Ayush Paul is Recording-Mixing Engineer, Music Producer and Live Sound Engineer based in Los Angeles, California originally from Delhi, India. He graduated in 2018, with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University, Florida. As a student, Ayush was a recipient of a Course Director’s Award, Perfect Attendance, as well as the Salutatorian of the graduating class. He has pursued his formal education in music at Delhi School of Music, Trinity College London, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and KM College of Music and is an Avid certified operator music for Pro Tools.
Ayush has produced, engineered and mixed American Idol fame Lauren Engle, and artists such as Hadar Adora, Illah, Jetley, LeoG, Nora, Bella Kovisa, Chelok, NikCharger, Glass Meadow, Stizii Lo and many more; on stage, did sound for Adam Blackstone, Trippie Redd, Kenny Beats, OHGEEZY, RalfyThePlug, heydukeyousuck and more. He has been an in-house engineer at the West Coast Customs studio, The Watche, and Studio519. Ayush has also been active in the rock music scene since being in-house at the iconic Viper Room and Universal Bar and Grill; and since working with so many local and touring bands, including some hard hitters and legends, at events such as Rock Fantasy Camp and Metallica’s presence at the Basterdane and Otto takeover show. Ayush is also in-house at a popular LA venue called Don Quixote.
He has worked as a stagehand at A-list productions such as Green Day, Blink182, The Rolling Stones, Adele, Mariah Carey, P!NK, Tyler The Creator, Benson Boone, Paul McCartney, Def Leopard, Lionel Richie, Rise Against, Luke Combs at venues such as Sofi Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Universal Studios, Centerstaging and Showbiz studios. Ayush did FOH for Drummer Records at James Tonic’s “Stuck in LA” tour and also does sound for a pop-punk band from Hollywood called heydukeyousuck.
He has worked on studio projects at recording studios including West Coast Customs, The Watche, PLAYHAUS, Studio519, DW3 Studios, NRG studios, Sunset Sound and Full Sail Studios. He has also toured as a Front of House Engineer, Monitor Engineer, Playback Engineer, Audio Tech and Live Sound Engineer for bands at live venues including The Viper Room, Whiskey-a-Gogo, The Roxy Theatre, Catalina Jazz Club, Bourbon Room, Lodge Room and more venues in California, Las Vegas, Wyoming, Florida and Delhi, India and have done events such as WWE NXT, Dirty Mondays, Kelly McGarry Presents, Jazz is Dead, Soulful Rhythms. He has worked for companies such as Who has it?, Trans AM Ent., Five19 Music Group, Centerstaging, De Bois Ent., Rebeleon Ent., Prescription Songs, e-mixed.com.
His motion picture credits include projects with his career advisor Nick Martinez and Rimo Moreno on PBS TV’s Musicology, and The Stage as the lead sound engineer on-set and the music mixdown engineer in the studio; Engineer and ADR Studio Tech for Ghettobusters TV show, mixed and created SFX for Mascot Games commercial and worked on a few other short films such as Transition, Wake up Early and The Devil’s Conspiracy.
In his early career before 2016 in Delhi, Ayush started as a keyboard player for bands such as 12 Strings and Delhi 96, playing originals and Bollywood covers and producing artists such as Encore Abhijay from Seedhe Maut, Sparsh Jain, Jobin Johny, MC Snub, Young Rep, Abxom. Having technical difficulties when making music at his first studio in his grandmother’s house led him to pursue audio engineering. He grew up listening to pop, rock and hip-hop from the West, and he was watching videos of Western producers/engineers to get better at the skill. The support from the family made him move to Florida for school, and opportunities landed him in Los Angeles.
