Ayush Paul is a highly skilled Recording-Mixing Engineer, Music Producer, and Live Sound Engineer based in Los Angeles, California, with roots in Delhi, India. He currently manages the upcoming line of audio plugins at Only Mixing, while working on diverse projects for Five19 Music Group, Epic Music Biz, and serving clients internationally. Ayush graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University, Florida, in 2018. He received the Course Director’s Award, Perfect Attendance, as well as the Salutatorian of the graduating class. Ayush pursued his formal education in music at prestigious institutions such as Delhi School of Music, Trinity College London, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, and KM College of Music. He is also an Avid certified operator music for Pro Tools.
Through his career, Ayush has produced, engineered or mixed many established artists, such as Lauren Engle, Hadar Adora, Illah, LeoG, Pboybeatz, SuTheProducer, Bella Kovisa, Chelok, Charger, Glass Meadow, Xanxan, Nick Roberts, George Grossman, among others. He has worked for reputable companies such as Five19 Music Group, Epic Music Biz, De Bois Entertainment, Prescription Songs(publishing), Falcon Pictures LLC., Rebeleon Ent., and e-mixed.com, and worked with numerous industry professionals, including Rev. Ron Jones, Nich Martinez, Rimo Moreno, Randy Stern, Gemini Musiq, Sebastian Krys, and Daniel Galindo, among others.
Ayush has worked on diverse projects at acclaimed recording studios, including Studio519, Neighborhood Watche, DW3 Studios, NRG studios, Sunset Sound, and Full Sail Studios. His extensive experience includes managing recording studios, touring as a Front of House Engineer, Monitor Engineer, Audio Tech, and Live Sound Engineer for music bands at various live venues, such as Whiskey-a-Gogo, The Roxy Theatre, Catalina Jazz Club, Lodge Room, and other venues across California, Nevada, Wyoming, Florida, and Delhi, India. Ayush has also worked on numerous television projects, including PBS TV’s Musicology, as the lead sound engineer on-set and the mix engineer in the studio, Engineer and Studio Tech for Ghettobusters TV show, and created SFX for Mascot Games commercial. He has also worked on various short films, such as Transition, Wake up Early, and The Devil’s Conspiracy.
Ayush specializes in producing music and beats for genres such as Pop, Hip-Hop, and various sub-genres. He is an expert in recording vocals, drums, or any other instrument in the studio or live. Ayush is renowned for his critical listening of pitch and frequencies, which makes him proficient in tuning vocals and is known for mixing modern-sounding vocals. With eight years of experience in mixing records in genres such as Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Country, and Bollywood, he is proficient in DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live, and software such as Melodyne, Auto-Tune, and iZotope RX. Ayush also has knowledge in the configuration and operation of large format consoles such as SSL Duality, API Vision, Rupert Neve Designs 5088, and SSL AWS900, and live consoles, including Behringer X32, Midas M32, Yamaha, and QSC Touchmix, and various outboard preamps, dynamic, and time-based effects. Ayush’s favorite vocal recording chain is a Sony C800 or Neumann U87 microphone into a Neve 1073 Preamp into a Tube-Tech CL1B.
